Question 1

What types of boats can I rent at Jones Valley Resort?

Accepted Answer

We offer a wide variety of watercraft including kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, jet skis, wakeboard boats, pontoon boats, party boats, and fishing boats. Our fleet caters to all activities from relaxed cruising to high-speed water sports.

Question 2

Do I need a boating license or California Boater Card to rent a boat?

Accepted Answer

No. A boating license, boating permit, or California Boater Card is NOT required to rent or operate our boats. However, ALL guests acting as Charter Captain or Co-Captain must complete the Houseboats.com Boater Safety Test before departure — a mandatory internal safety policy with NO exemptions, even for guests who already hold a California Boater Card or any other boating certification. The test takes approximately 10 minutes. Minimum age for primary operators is 21 years old. Please call us at (833) 474-2782 with any questions.

Question 3

What are the rental hours at Jones Valley Marina?

Accepted Answer

Daily rentals typically run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. We do not offer half-day rentals — all boat rentals are full-day or multi-day. Contact us for specific availability and extended rental options.

Question 4

Is fuel included in the boat rental price?

Accepted Answer

Fuel is not included in the rental price. However, our on-site fuel dock makes it easy to fill up before returning your boat. You'll only pay for the fuel you use.

Question 5

Can I rent a boat for multiple days?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Multi-day rentals are available for most boats in our fleet. Longer rentals often come with discounted daily rates. Contact our team for multi-day pricing and availability.
