How many people can fit on a Shasta Lake houseboat?

Our Shasta Lake houseboats accommodate between 2 and 22 guests depending on the model. Smaller boats like the Genesis sleep up to 6, while our flagship Titan luxury houseboat sleeps up to 22 guests comfortably with 7 private sleeping areas. Check our Compare Houseboats page to find the perfect fit for your group size.

Can I bring my dog on a Shasta Lake houseboat?

Yes! We welcome pets on most of our houseboats. Dogs love exploring the shoreline and swimming in the lake. If your pet causes any damage or requires extra cleaning, a portion of your security deposit may be used to cover costs. Please review our full Pet Policy for details.

How do we split costs for a group houseboat trip?

We recommend collecting each person's share at the time they commit to the trip. A booking deposit is required at reservation, with the full rental amount due 75 days before departure. A separate security/damage deposit is collected upon arrival and returned after your trip, minus any damage costs. Splitting costs early reduces the risk of last-minute cancellations affecting the group.

How far in advance should we book a Shasta Lake houseboat for summer?

For peak summer dates (June–August), we recommend booking 6 to 9 months in advance to secure your preferred houseboat and dates. Holiday weekends like the 4th of July and Labor Day book even earlier. Having your group agree on second and third date choices increases your chances of availability.

What trip lengths are available for Shasta Lake houseboats?

We offer 3-night, 4-night, and 7-night voyages, giving your group flexibility to match schedules and budgets. Shorter trips are perfect for first-timers or smaller groups, while a full week lets you explore multiple arms of Shasta Lake at a relaxed pace.
